Food NI to Host Live Demos and Local Food Market at Belfast City Hall on 12 July

Food NI will bring the flavours of Northern Ireland to the heart of Belfast this Twelfth of July, with live cookery demonstrations and a small local food market at City Hall.

The organisation’s popular Theatre Kitchen will host three interactive cooking demos throughout the day, with free samples of each dish available to the public. At 11am, visitors can enjoy a taste of stout wheaten bread, followed by dainty buttermilk scones with butter, homemade strawberry jam, and Chantilly cream at 1pm. The final demo at 3pm will feature freshly made Irish soda bread.

In addition to the demos, a selection of food traders will be on site offering local treats, including Genoa Ice Cream, The Griddle (burger and chips), Pizza Street, and The Fancy Fox coffee dock.

Food NI, the promotional voice for Northern Ireland’s food and drink sector, champions high-quality local produce and the people who grow, make, and serve it. Their presence at events like this aims to connect consumers with the region’s rich food heritage and support the local supply chain.

The event at City Hall is part of Food NI’s ongoing efforts to enhance the reputation of Northern Ireland as a world-class food destination.
